The sixth playoff edition of the Battle of Alberta came to an early but fitting close on Thursday, even as the game itself required a little extra time. Both the overtime and the series came to a sudden end when Connor McDavid took yet another fine pass from Leon Draisaitl and beat Jacob Markstrom with a perfectly-placed wrist shot from the slot to give the visiting Edmonton Oilers a 5-4 win on the night and a 4-1 margin in the series.
#15 Josh Archibald, 4. Played just 3:17 at even strength and a further 1:00 on the penalty kill. His boxcars of 0-0-0, -1 were reflective of the entire series that saw him post 0-0-0, -5 in barely half an hour of ice time.
While Rei and Miri are playing an unnamed console game, Kazuki is worrying about how they recently broke their bank account by purchasing items for Miri at Daycare. As a result, they are currently bankrupt and unable to purchase new games for Rei or pudding for Miri as a treat because Kyutaro has not given them any work since the recent failed mission that was assigned to them. They were forced to approach Kyutaro and ask for work because desperate times call for desperate measures. Kazuki approaches Kyutaro as they arrive at the Yadorigi café and begs for a job. On the other hand, Kyutaro gave him some information about documents to use for background-checking targets and some job-related location scouting. He suggested that Kazuki should start with small jobs so that they could return to their regular line of work for at least a week. Despite having second thoughts about it, Kazuki simply accepted it and said they would carry it out anyhow.
After attempting to work at night and took care for Miri during the day for three days straight, Kazuki and Rei find themselves exhausted. When Kazuki had to leave for work, Rei is left behind at home to watch Miri but is too exhausted to get out of his tub. In order to find out what Kazuki does for a living, Miri takes advantage of this opening to leave the apartment without being seen and followed Kazuki. Rei wakes up to find Kazuki has already left at the same time Miri is also gone. While following Kazuki all the way, she found a dog and stops to pet it, causing her to lose track of him.
Having confirmed that Miri is missing, Kazuki and Rei embark on a citywide search for her. In the meantime, she is in front of Kutaro's cafe when he notices her running into Ogino and brings her inside. Kazuki starts to fear the worst things to happen to Miri. Not until he and Rei arrive at Kyutaro's cafe and discover her seated at the counter. In her excitement after seeing the two of them, Miri calls them "Papa," which perplexes Kyutaro and causes him to inquire about how they are doing with the assignments he gave them. When it becomes evident they are having trouble keeping up with the workload, he offers to watch Miri.
After finishing their work, Kazuki and Rei goes back to the cafe to pick up Miri. However, Kyutaro doesn't appear to understand what she means when Kazuki inquires if she said anything strange. When Miri calls them Papa while she is sleeping, Kazuki quickly tries to explain that they were going to eventually take Miri back to her family. But Kyutaro admits that he was fully informed the entire time. He claimed he had planned to do something, but after spending time with Miri, he can see why they decided to take her in. Of course, he cautions that there could be negative effects, particularly if they betray the organization. He inquires as to whether they are ready for the potential consequences of a position like theirs and advises them not to look back.
From buzzer-beaters to scintillating comeback efforts, OKC Thunder guard Dennis Schroder has done it all this season. He’s a marvel on the basketball court who has proven to be one of the biggest differences for OKC in a breakout year.
It’s safe to say that he has truly arrived in the NBA revealing himself as a star who comes off the bench and ignites a spark within his teammates that not many players can do.
Schroder’s phenomenal season has seen him become one of the leading candidates for the Sixth Man of the Year award and in the mix as the OKC Thunder Most Valuable Player.
Though he has some tremendous competition in the likes of Lou Williams and Montrezl Harrell, it is important to note his achievements in his seventh year in the league and just how far he has come.
When Russell Westbrook and Paul George were traded in the past offseason, the future for the organization was unclear other than the fact that people believed it was time for a rebuild.

Not many had imagined a season like this or that Schroder would burst onto the scene. We have witnessed what he is truly capable of and growth in all areas of his game.
The German is averaging 19.0 points, 4.1 assists and 3.7 rebounds on 46.8 field goal and 38.1 perimeter percentage – both of which are career-highs.
In 2019-20 he has provided fans with some unforgettable games and moments. Here are five of his best games this year.

Next: No. 1: Schroder steals the win in Bean Town

"}, #6thman pic.twitter.com/8wzuzEAZgs
— OKC THUNDER (@okcthunder) March 9, 2020

Boston was in the lead by one with 13.8 seconds left in the game and just had to inbound the ball. Kemba Walker received the pass but as soon as he had the chance to turn around, the wall of CP3 was right there. Paul trapped Walker and Schroder came in to get the huge steal and put the ball in the basket, giving OKC their 105-104 victory.
For Schroder to be prepared to react and successfully get the layup under pressure was outstanding. The guard saw that Walker didn’t have anywhere to go and backed up his teammate.
It was a tense last few moments but knowing that OKC had the lead and was fighting right to the end made it such a sweet win.
Schroder also contributed to a history-making night as OKC clinched their fifth win of the season after being down by 18, which according to ESPN Stats & Info ties for the most by any NBA team in the last 20 seasons.

Next: No. 2: Schroder blows past Clippers

DECEMBER 14: Dennis Schroder #17 of the OKC Thunder brings the ball down the court against the Denver Nuggets (Photo by Matthew Stockman/Getty Images)

Dennis powers through Clippers in the clutch:
Schroder came up big in a stunning performance against the Clippers on December 22nd. It was Paul George’s first return to OKC since being traded in the offseason and Schroder caused some damage.
It was once again a game where the OKC Thunder were down by 18 points but climbed back to win. Schroder’s extraordinary fourth quarter where he scored 16 of his 28 points came made a significant difference.
He hit shots late in the game when it was all on the line and continued to put pressure on the Clippers with poise and tenacity.
Two pivotal shots – one mid-range jumper and a 3-point basket in the last two and a half minutes got OKC over the hump.
As he blew past the Clippers, Schroder added six assists, five rebounds, a steal, as well as draining four 3-pointers.
The guard’s impeccable play on the week of this game, helping OKC with a 4-0 record resulted in the German winning Western Conference Player of the Week for the first time.

Next: No. 3: Schroder rocks Houston

JANUARY 20: Russell Westbrook #0 of the Houston Rockets is guarded by Dennis Schroder #17 of the OKC Thunder during the fourth quarter (Photo by Bob Levey/Getty Images)

Schroder puts up ambitious effort in Houston:
There seem to be two recurring patterns here one – Schroder keeps shining against some of his old teammates and the second thing only needs to be described by one word – CLUTCH.
Many of his most impressive matches this season have proven that he’s got ice in his veins. When palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy (okay you know the rest of the Eminem classic), Schroder stands tall.
On January 20th in the OKC Thunder’s five-point win over the Houston Rockets, Schroder was a man on a mission.
Down by three with less than two minutes to go, Schroder drove to the basket for a layup to get the Thunder within one. On the other side as the Rockets were up 105-104 there was only 1:28 left of play. He stayed low, guarding James Harden behind the 3-point line.
Even when the Beard tried to stump Schroder with his handles, there was no room for him to step back. Schroder hustled despite the size difference, forcing him to turn over the ball. After the game, it was found that this should’ve been called a foul on the Thunder guard but OKC will take it and a win is still a win.
This allowed Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to get a shot and put OKC in front. But wit, there’s more because as the game progressed into the dying moments, it was still too close for comfort.

🥶 DENNIS ICES IT 🥶 pic.twitter.com/LAGjo3WGvp
— OKC THUNDER (@okcthunder) January 21, 2020

So Schroder did what he had done all game as he sunk two free-throws and met Harden again, this time on the offensive end of the floor as he eyed up a mid-range bucket.
