It's Breaking News is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language crime film directed by Vishal Inamdar and produced by Smita Shreyas Mhaskar under banner of Animaa Films. It is a story about corrupt police officers, exploitation of an innocent girl and media's fight to expose the facts.
The plot of It's Breaking News movie
The film narrates the story of Vidya, a young, dynamic, self-motivated news correspondent, who has just come out of a journalism course and is all charged to take up confrontations of this profession. But she soon realizes that it is not as easy as it seems. She initially covers entertainment news but is later assigned to cover crime news. She gets addicted to the thrill and excitement of the job and starts creating situations to get sensational stories for her channel.
One day she receives a call from Sangeeta, a girl from Pune, who is a victim of repeated sexual abuses by the high-ranking officers of the local police. She seeks Vidya's help to expose them. Vidya decides to help her and plans a sting operation on them with her team. But she soon finds out that she is not only dealing with corrupt cops but also with powerful politicians and businessmen who are involved in the racket. She also realizes that her channel is not interested in exposing the truth but only in increasing their TRP ratings. She faces many obstacles and threats as she tries to bring justice to Sangeeta.
